A Little Bit About Me

My name is Alida, and what can I say? I love to make things. I’m a creator at heart and enjoy taking on new projects, especially if they’re challenging. I’m passionate about everything I do. When I’m not working on a creative project, I’m likely enjoying time with family and friends, including my family’s furry four-legged buddies. I adore the outdoors, and my personal interests include adventuring, cooking, baking, and overall just spending quality time with the people I love. If any of these interests intersect with chocolate, all the better!

I possess many overlapping skills that routinely come in handy whether I’m working on a new logo & identity for a client, constructing things with paper, wood, or even cake batter! I love art and I love designing and creating things. If I’m not absorbed in Adobe’s Creative Suite, I’m likely creating something within a drawing app on my phone, or tinkering with a pending DIY project. I’m a maker at heart.

I currently work full-time in government, focusing on economic development. I am happily utilizing my years of business, marketing, storytelling, and design experience in my government to support business development in Central California.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLSET:

• Adobe Creative Suite: Proficient and awesome with Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Print Design: I follow projects from beginning to end. I can even work up a prototype of your packaging/stationery/invitations as we get ready to send it to press!
• Identity: Let me help you get the visual word out about who you are and what you stand for. I would love to design your new logo, business card, letterhead, website, and more!
• Digitizing: Do you have an old photograph you’d like repaired, or a hand-drawn masterpiece you’d like me to take to the next level? Let me know. I definitely take commissions for this type of thing.
• Public Relations: As an experienced Marketing and Communication professional, I can help you build a strategy to tell your story through a multi-platform approach.
• Social Media Management: Let’s work on creating an editorial calendar and strategic approach for you or your project.
• Writing and Translating: The words we use help others get to know us. I can help you develop a content creation strategy as well as offer writing, editing, and translation/transcreation services.
• Videography: I offer videography and video production services including storyboarding and editing.
• Project Management and Reporting: I successfully track projects from beginning to end as well as help report metrics.
